Everlasting

The frozen space where light can never reach

Wraps all the stars that we will ever see

Old golden spheres that hum electric speech

They hold the tales that tell of you and me

And all our other friends around the fire

Bear witness to the beating of the drums

The joyous sun guides us ever higher

And from our seat the cosmic rhythm comes

I am an emanation of the earth

My memories are planetary hymns

Beyond the murmured moment of my birth

And past the distant day when my life dims

The song of love and life will never die

And it is sung by all beneath the sky
